Research on automatic component to represent student's identification.

During the presentation on FYP Degree Sem 1, I've been advised from one of the assessor to change the use of keypad and LCD. Instead of key in ID number manually by using keypad, the assessor prefer to change it to the automatic device or component. The purpose of changing is to make the way of project's operation match with the title.
On this week, I've been searching the suitable method to make student's identification become automatic. Hence, I found by using bar-code or RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is the most appropriate way.
Basically, the idea come from book drop or return station station that has been implemented in library management system and electronic cash register in the supermarket. I've been interviewing one of the senior from UniKL IPROM regarding her FYP entitle Smart Book Drop Station. She was suggesting for me to use RFID as the component.
Conclusion:
I made my decision to change keypad to RFID.
